Proprietors George Alexopoulos, Michael Salerno, Peter De Marco and Adam Swanson have collectively combined their strengths to create a European restaurant with strong Italian influences. ESCA Restaurant won Best New Restaurant (2005) and Best European Restaurant (2006), and finalists in 2007 and 2008, in the South Australian Restaurant and Catering Association Awards.

Head chef Michael Quist has led Esca’s team of strong, passionate kitchen staff for over two years. Under the welcome influence of owners Michael, Peter and Adam, Michael has created a menu based upon classic, home-style Italian cooking, combining traditional techniques with his own contemporary, personalised flair. An emphasis is place on house-made goods – stocks, sauces and even hand-made pasta makes for a fresh produce guarantee, from our kitchen to your table.

Here at Esca we believe family and friends should always come together at the dinner table. Michael’s new menu embraces the idea of communual dining – the ‘entrees’ and ‘small plates’ are ideal to share. Of course, the menu loses none of it’s fine-dining polish, perfect for an intimate dinner for even the most conscientious of diners!

The espresso bar... Open every morning from 9:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday, and from 8am til late on weekends, ESCA Espresso is a tasty and convenient answer to all your daily needs. Serving a wide range of coffee, freshly squeezed juices, house made foccaccia and panini, it caters for those after a light lunch or for people on the go. The espresso bar is the perfect place to visit for coffee with friends or take away delicacies. It has an exclusive range of home made Italian pastries to compliment Esca's own coffee blend. For the early risers, and the not so early risers, Esca’s extensive breakfast menu is available until 12pm.
